Welcome to the 'Save Money Homeschooling' blog. This is my first article on this new blog. Stay tuned as I plan to continue to bring you the latest information about homeschooling.

In February 2008, I published the 'Save Money Homeschooling' ebook that you can purchase on this blog. Since then, I have found many other topics and ideas to talk about, which is why I decided to start this blog to continue the conversation about how homeschooling can actually save families money. 

The middle class in America is in trouble, with wages and jobs decreasing and inflation increasing. The average dual-income family has less discretionary income that they did 30 years ago. 

According to this article on Homeschool.com, the number one issue for homeschoolers is money;

"What are the disadvantages of homeschooling?
According to homeschoolers’ feedback on Homeschool.com, the biggest disadvantage facing the homeschooling family is loss of income. Someone must be home, at least part-time, to facilitate the children’s learning. At a time when it can often be difficult to get by on two incomes, it can be a real challenge to get by on just one.

The loss of income is the number one biggest issue for homeschoolers competing in a dual-income culture. In a nutshell, this is the essential topic of this blog.

This book really was "complete". It answered all those little nagging questions they you can't seem to find the answers anywhere else. It also goes through the whole process of homeschooling from deciding to homeschool all the way through sending them off to college.
